Qld: Life term for girlfriend stabbing

BRISBANE, Jan 19 AAP - A man has been sentenced in Brisbane to life in jail for stabbing
his ex-girlfriend to death because she accused him of rape.

Frederick Allen Sellen, 19, a chicken farm worker, pleaded guilty to murdering Natalie
Haywood on April 11, 2001, at Carina in Brisbane's south-eastern suburbs.

Deputy Director of Public Prosecutions Paul Rutledge said the pair had been seeing
each other for about two years after meeting at ten pin bowling.
