Kosovo peace talks go into overtime

The Kosovo peace talks moved into overtime today, after Western nations trying to salvage a
deal and hold off NATO airstrikes extended the deadline by three more days.

French Foreign Minister Hubert Vedrine told a news conference the talks had been extended
from the original Saturday noon deadline until Tuesday at 3pm (0100 AEDT, Wednesday) because
"very substantial progress" had been made on the political part of a three-year interim
agreement for Kosovo.
